  • Traditional Quilts:  These quilts are twin-size quilts measuring approx. 62" x 82". Quilts are named after the recipient of the quilt.  Each quilt is machine pieced; top-stitched via a long-arm quilting service; and the binding is hand-stitched.  All quilts are made of 100% cotton fabric and 100% cotton batting.  For traditional quilts, Estelle will first sketch out a design on graph paper and then decide upon the right color combinations.  From that point on, she starts the process of cutting and piecing a quilt top together.
  • Mug rugs are small quilts measuring less than 8.5" x 11".  Mug rugs are used as a small placemat on which to set your coffee mug, tea cup, and/or snack(s).
  • Pictorial quilts:  These are "fabric" representations of an image inspired from photographs or from an idea. The quilt sizes vary. Some measure from 5" x 5" up to approx. 42" x 42". These pictorial quilts can be placed in a frame or used as a wall hanging.  Estelle has just started to create pictorial quilts.  Some pictorial quilts are made entirely with appliqued fabric pieces.  Other pictorial quilts are made with fabric markers and fabric paints.  And, some pictorial quilts are made with various machine stitches, strands of yarn, rattail, rick rack, ribbons, and embroidery threads.
  • WIP (work in progress):  These pieces are still being worked on. Some need to be layered and quilted; some need embellishments (beads) added; some need decorative top-stitching done.  Estelle thought it might be interesting to see a piece of her work go from the start of an idea to a finished quilt.
